The upper is made of full-grain leather, and safety is guaranteed by reinforcements on the toe and heel and by ankle protection inserts in D3O®, a material that has the ability to become rigid in the event of a collision, thus protecting the foot only when necessary. The Groundtrax® sole, made of wear-resistant rubber, also ensures safety, as well as stability even on slippery ground, as its particular construction with hexagonal tread allows for better traction. Maximum protection is guaranteed by the special Zplate® insert in molded polymer, which combines transverse rigidity for maximum safety and longitudinal flexibility owing to its Z-shape.
